Music Video
Ideal Production
Besides building relationships to feel safe to interview with my interviewees, for ethnographic filmmaking, more than anything else within filmmaking aspirations, there is my hope to be a part of every stage of creating motion picture for music videos.

This mainly consists of hearing a song by a band or singer-songwriter, then -- based on my experience and inspiration -- creating a mood board to share. This is the entry point of pre-production. After a sharing and brainstorming session, the next step is for me to create a shot list, for further consideration. After choosing one or two locations for production, I will also create small portfolio, to share the day before the shoot.

The production is meant to consist of only one or two locations, so that most of our time can be invested in the creative process and at a specific setting for an intensive shoot. One formula to follow is 4-single-takes of the song being performed, in which the musicians will be asked to perform four times for the shoot. During the production, we will do our best to follow the original plan in the portfolio, while accepting room and possibility for spontaneous creation and poetic resonance.

Post production can take less than a 3-day completion, depending on proper planning and organization, as well as the the weather's permit.
